    Backup.mdb

I use Actinic Multisite v8.5.3. In the Site1 folder are Backup.mdb and Previous.mdb. But there are not the same files in the other site folders.

So my question: what are these files and why are there only 2 of them? I know Actinic uses an Access database but I rather expected one per site? Do these files in fact hold all the sites?

I am devising a backup strategy and was planning to put a daily copy of each of site backup files on a laptop. Would it be better to take a copy of the Backup.mdb? If not, would there be any advantage in taking a copy? What do other people do? Btw my main site backup file is 220mb so rather large to upload to a remote server.

    Thanks in advance,
    Pete

When you exit actinic you get presented with a number of backup selections.

If you click the 'options' button you'll be able to set where backups are saved to. This should be unique for each site.

Ah, cheers Mike, I seem to have one site (site1) backing up to a different drive. I have found the missing database files!
