    v9 changes not appearing?

Thank you regarding the sitehtml folder (plus where to actually find it).
As it happens it was empty anyway so presumably there wouldn't be any problems on that score?

I've got a helpful reply from Actinic themselves and have sent them a troubleshooting version of the .acd file

When I get it sorted I'll let all you very kind and helpful people what the problem was and hopefully it'll help others with the same problem.

    Regards

The folder should not have been empty.
Are you sure which database you are using and where it is located?
Do you have any other Site1 folder on your computer perhaps?
Have you ever reloaded Actinic and selected a different site folder's location?

        v9 changes not appearing?

Hello and apologies for the confusion. When you mentioned site1 I thought you were talking about the site1 that comes with the Actinic V9 disc. The sitehtml folder for that training site is empty. The sitehtml folder for my website is chocabloc full of stuff and I haven't emptied it.

You can safely remove all content from SiteHTML and PreviewHTML. dont remove the folders themselves.

Actinic regenerates the content in each of these folders on upload/preveiw respectively.

            v9 changes not appearing?

Hi, I've emptied the contents of the folders and have published to the web again but no joy I'm afraid.

Perhaps a silly question, but are you sure that you are publishing to the same URL as you are checking?
Does a page preview show the old pages as well?

                v9 changes not appearing?

That's a good question but I'm not sure how I would find out if somehow I'm publishing to a different url?

I know how to look at my site with design view (which shows the updated information) and preview store (which is showing the old information).

I've seen this issue it always turned out to be something simple such as the network settings or something changed by the hosts or a cache.

                    v9 changes not appearing?

Thanks Louise, I'll be away now until tomorrow so I'll try the above fixes tomorrow and get back to the forum with the results.

                      v9 changes not appearing?

Louise, you were spot on and now I feel a bit of a twit (to say the least). I now know what happened and I'll never make that mistake again. I'd wanted to do some big changes to a section so in case anything went wrong I made a copy of that section and basically stuffed it right down at the bottom of the content tree.

I then forgot all about it and it was this (old) section that Actinic was publishing. I've now deleted the old section and everything is working fine.

I humbly apologize to all you kind people who've taken the time and trouble to suggest helpful actions. I will say that I've actually learned more about Actinic than I already knew (not that much if I'm truthful) so I really have appreciated your kind help.

I'm now going to sit in the corner with my dunces hat on.
