Product's attribute showing in wrong place on invoice

I've spent considerable time hunting god knows how many combinations of phrases and can't find previous reference to this (although I find it unlikely it's not been come across before)

Customer places order online, using discount code.
Customer returns one item (orderline) and exchanges for a different colour.
I unship and cancel returned orderline and manually add the new colour one to the order (which is a product with attribute/choices)
The attached is the resulting invoice (or part of it)

As you can see, the attribute details for the offline-added product are displaying within the coupon code orderline.

Not sure why but it certainly looks a mess!

Anyone else experienced this, before I fire it off to support?

Yes, this happens to us. Thought it was just me ... Can't find an invoice where it's reproducible at the moment but will keep looking

I thought I had too!
I'm damned if I can find any previous posts though.
Problem is there are so many different combinations of words to use to search for it
