As a desperate attempt to identify the problem I have tried uploading in safemode with network settings. I thought this may help narrow down any conflicts with other programs. But... woe is me, I still have the same problem.

I have virtually identical problems but not for the same reasons. So to let you know in case it's any help:

A young computer wizard has doctored our copy of XP MCE, saying that it is basically XP Pro with knobs & whistles, to give us Remote Desktop (which is brilliant) and also built a new server with RAID1.

But at more or less the same time (coupled with trying to upgrade a V9 site to V10, AND, the 1and1 outage on the 17th Feb.) we lost the ability to UPload, as described here.

Our network (Multi-user) runs fine, we download orders no prob., but we can't update our site. I have proved today, by using a redundant previously untouched PC, that the fault does not lie within Actinic. I am therefore suspicious that he has downloaded a bit of kit from microsoft that has broken it.

My next step is to reinstall Windows MCE (without his input) and try again!

        Geraldine,

Another thing that's easy to try (since you have a laptop) is to take your internet connection out of the loop. Go to a friend or neighbour who is hopefully using a different ISP, connect via their router and see what happens.

Similar setup to yours Lee except Windows 7 x64 Pro and no problems uploading on V8, V9 or V10. All Actinic versions set to run as administrator, Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 out of the box, no special settings. So if its Win7 is it the home version, I do remember lots of problems with XP home in comparison with XP Pro.

W7 Pro 32-bit on a 6 year old Dell Inspiron laptop with only 2Gb ram.
            V8 and V9 work fine.
            Not tested V10 yet.
