Script error during checkout

I've got a script error during checkout.
Two things happening:

First, When you add a product to the basket, the website shows the basket for a few seconds and at the top right of the screen the total. Then after a few seconds, the website moves back to the product as it should but the basket shows amount equal to "0".

Second, the paypal page does not appear after clicking on the "Checkout with PayPal" button on the checkout page showing me a 404 error.

I haven't changed anything on the website and hostgator have confirmed no updates were made on the site that would prevent scripts from running properly.

Can someone check and advice properly as we had no sales for 4 days now!

Thank you, managed to resolve the paypal issue however I still get the problem with the basket at the top of the page not updating itself.

Basically, if i add a product to the basket, Actinic re-directs me to the basket and shows the basket for a few seconds before taking me back to the product page.
At the top of the product page I've got a basket summary which constantly shows "0" despite having things inside it.

As explained I've got another site grafea co uk which doesn't have this issue but it is hosted with 1and1

Any help?

This is usually the mistake of mixing www. and non-www. urls.

If you visit the site without using www. then this won't be able see the basket cookie which typicaly sits on the www. domain as this is what is usually defined in Actinic.
