hi, I hope the froogle export will be sorted out for V6 as well as the new V7.
Can you confirm this or an expected date for a V6 update.
Regards
Wesley
I've afraid there will be no further developments on v6, as all people paying maintenance are entitled to an upgrade to v7, where we will make the changes.
hi, yes the froogle feed does work, which i am using.
But none of my image files show up on froogle. The feed is passed by froogle and all descriptions show up but no images. I have checked with my hosts and all is fine with the server end of things. I have emailed froogle several times over the last few weeks but not heard a thing.
Any one else had any problems with froogle and images.
As an example if you go to froogle and enter 'cola cubes' as a search my products show up but no images. Our site is www.treasureislandsweets.co.uk
My images all work fine with normal web use, may be this is a beta bug with froogle. I really am desperate to get this sorted before too long.

Wesley
hi, froogle mash is ok im sure as others use it. The problem must be with froogle but trying to get a reply is impossable. I have tried re exporting, uploading, emailing, checking hosting, just about all. The site works fine so i know the image refences are fine. It must be their indexing or something,

Froogle is a bit wierd, I find that my products appear in batches (each time I submit a feed) and the images start working at a random time in the future.
If you have any problems with anything to do with froogle, you should email them because they don't seem to be proactive, things fail or don't work and until you ask why they don't get fixed.
hi, i have tried emailing them, i emailed from my froogle account, from the help page on froogle and once i got a reply, but that was for another problem which they sorted out quckly but things seem to be falling on deaf ears !
The folk at Froogle are taking a while to reply to things.
I finally went live on froogle UK last night (after being on froogle US in error for the last 5 days). It took them 5 days to reply this time, so just hang on in there and I'm sure they'll get round to you.
Hi , i have just heard back from google, over two weeks for a reply.!
this is what they said
"Thanks for letting us know. It looks like you are using quoted fields but
that setting was not set, thus creating incorrect image_urls. We have
changed your setting and that should lead to your images showing on
Froogle in a few days."
Hello again , froogle have at last today sorted out my images.
They have been missinf for some time, no product images would show up under a froogle searcg. They have replied and amended froogle to except quoted fields as they put it. So i am happy now ! eight weeks after my froogle upload with froogle mash, at last all is well and my images are showing up with my products.
Thanks all

We've been working with UKFroogle while in beta, and noticed that Actinic isn't meeting the regional specs for the feed, so over coffee we threw out a php script to process and upload Actinic exports for the current (beta-3) UK feed format (and called it Actinoogle, cos it sounds daft). Attached as zip file in my next post, help yourselves and have fun - if you can't fathom out how it works we can arrange a copy of 'Clue, and how to get it'.
Just an aside - a teensy change to the parse engine last month meant a minor glitch in FTPed feeds with mismatched encoding, and a lot of people ended up with their accounts showing an internal server error, plus the debugger then locked the FTP account to prevent more uploads. Pleased to say that's fixed and all is back to normal for those who were locked out.

with which you can play.. the latest version of the script will be there too, as we're tinkering with it a little as people suggest things (which we're happy to hear). Currently the only thing people have to be aware of is that Froogle feeds have to be 'available', and so a product that has a nonzero price but has no 'buy now' button can creep through (Actinic is incorrect in including these items in an exported feed and there isn't a way to filter them out on the free script we're giving away here.. we do it by constructing the feed internally from the MDB, but that's not gonna be free!). To be picky, a fed site should meet Froogle's specs entirely even if the unbuyable items are omitted from the feed, so you should just hide the products (which WILL remove them from the exported feed).
I have been using this for the last 10 days or so and am impressed with it. Pretty straight forward to set up, but more importantly it is super quick to send a new feed to Froogle.
As an aside and I have no idea if it is related, but traffic to my site has gone up considerably. I appreciate that a large proportion are spiders, but as a result of that my products are appearing higher up and when i do searches against competitors, I am appearing a lot more.
