    500 internal error

I was testing my system over the web

Go to checkout and I got............

    500 Internal Server Error
This indicates that a part of the server (for example a CGI program) has crashed, or encountered a configuration error. If the code was received when running a CGI, contact the author of the CGI.

What do I do now ?

Did it work before? Did you change anything recently?

You could also try Advanced / Network Setup / Test to get some usefule error messages.

500 internal error is 9/10 user error. You will need to go over the recent changes to identify whats caused it.

        thanks Norman
I tested the network - everything okay

        email from Actinic:
This is the test message from Actinic Catalog.
The email address and SMTP server you specified
in the network preferences are correct.

        To Jo
What type of changes am I looking for ?

If the Network test passed, then Perl (which runs the cart and checkout) is working fine on your server.

I asked earlier if your site used to work. Can you answer this?

Do you have an URL so we can see the fault happening?

              Something is wrong with OrderScript.pl

Copy OrderScript.pl from C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Original into C:\Program Files\Actinic Ecommerce v6\Sites\Site1 (backup the old one first) and then do a site Refresh.
