Seem to be having a problem with stock control and offline ordering. When i place an offline order reduces stock once, then when I add a payment to the offline order it reduces the stock again. Is nayone else having this problem? Is there a workaround/fix?

Hi there
It sounds like this is a bug, can i ask what version you are on Steve?
Also please could you give me your steps on reproducing this, i have just done an offline order, checked the stock, this was okay. Then went into the "Payment" and set the order to recieve payment. This did not deduct the stock from the product.
Please could you advise

Hi Nadeem
Using v7.0.1 (Not upgraded to 7.0.2 as there seem to be issues with it)
Stages are
On order pane, click on new order.
Select an existing customer.
Add a product to the order.
Keep clicking on next, and then confirm.
(We only have one payment method, secpay so this is selected.)
This updates the stock value but places the order in Pending Payment Service Provider.
I then open the order and go into progress and payments where I view payments, and add a new entry.
This places the order in to pending so that my staff know to process the order, however it also updates the stock for a second time.
I would guess that it shouldn't update the stock until the payment is added to the order.

We are linking into an external database, so this may make a difference.Blushingbuyer, banishing blushes since 2000.

Hi there
I have just tried recreating this again on a defualt Actinic site, and also linking to an external database, and it all works as it should.
It only deducted the stock when the offline order was completed.
As Nadeem mentioned, it does sound like a bug - there are quite a few bug fixes in 7.0.2 which is downloadable from www.actinicdownloads.com/v7 which may be worth trying.
Alternatively, if you do not want to upgrade we would need to recreate the setup you have there so we can see the problem happening - to do this we would need the snapshot and the external linked database for your site, you can register a support query at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm and send these files into us to have a look at.
Hope that helps

I'm having exactly the same problem as you & I'm running the latest version 7.0.2.
Did you resolve this? If so, could you let me know how?
Thanks very much

Okay, Okay! Point taken.
I might not be running the latest version of Actinic but as James said...

So the question is now - will v7.0.3 solve the offline stock control & monitoring problem..?
