the point here, is that I want to re-instate the snapshot (the data) back to another location (in this case, my H: drive or something like it.) so the question is

How do I actually restore the data back to another location OTHER THAN the default "c:\ . . . " location. ? are you sugesting that the entire Actinic installation is re-installed in to another location and then import-snapshot is then run, if so, it dosn't really answer the question "how do I move Site1 to another location ?"

    in response to Chris Ashdown,
No, I'm not trying to be a clever programmer, I just want to seperate the actual programme from the actual data, I'm not on about snapshots and backups, just the physical separation. (traditionally, this was considered to be "good programming practice") - I do take regular backups (snapshots), often 4,5,6 times a day, and those backups are also copied off disk frequently, there's nothing like losing your data.

      Hi Kevin

I'm afraid it might not be the answer that you are looking for, but from our point of view, this is the only way. To have the whole installation on another drive.
Only Actinic Business Plus (Aka Multi user) as this option to relocate the site directory. Not the current version of Actinic. It is hardcoded within the program. I can only add your comments to our wishlist for a future version.

dissapointing answer but I (and I guess many others) would LOVE to have the ability to put the main site in a different location, we only have to see the number of viewings to see that its a topic that people want an answer to.

Clearly the facitilies are built into Actinic, its a shame that only the most expensive version has this option.

please add this to the wishlist.

          Hi Kevin

Its is duly noted now, To be honest, Support has not had many people asking for this request on the normal version. I will add your comments and other to our wishlist to say this is not the case.

          Kind Regards
