Hi,
I was just reading thru some older posts after searching for 'localhost' issues but can't find an answer to this one?
Recently, my sites were ALL down but the guys at Nicnmaes said evrything was fine, Actinic would not upload or download orders at all. They looked into it and as if by magic, it was sorted.
But . . ever since then (late last week) evry time I try and send an email via Actinic to an AOL address I get this error message:
The original message was received at Wed, 26 Oct 2005 20:54:05 +0100
from localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]
----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<xxxxxxxx@aol.com>
(reason: 550 5.0.0 <xxxxxxxx@aol.com>... This address has been blocked due to spamming)
----- Transcript of session follows -----
... while talking to [10.1.1.200]:
>>> DATA
<<< 550 5.0.0 <xxxxxxxx@aol.com>... This address has been blocked due to spamming
550 5.1.1 <xxxxxxxx@aol.com>... User unknown
<<< 503 5.0.0 Need RCPT (recipient)
----------------------------------------
Now where the xxxxxx@aol.com is I've removed the email but I know for sure that it's an error from the site sending emails because, I tested it with a new account having already used my brother's email address (an AOL one) via Outlook Xpress and it worked fine. Sent it from Actinic and got the above error message?
I have all my stores set to 'localhost' having been given this advice a couple of years back here on the board and no probs until now.
If I want to change it, what should the info in 'localhost' be, I can't flippin' remember!?
Cheers everyone..
PS: And I have hit the Network Test Button and received an email saying it is all fine? Oh yeah, I am getting emails in Outlook from 2 customers now with AOL addresses who can't log in as they have no email telling them what to do!
Any ideas?
Beej
