That is a brilliant idea. I really like the check box. That would be so useful to me.

I would be interested in how you did it.

    Many thanks

      Hi there

The two PCs do not need to be synchronised as we don't use actinic for order processing (and I couldn't imagine the time involved in passing snapshots back and forth every day!).
In 'File | Export' there is an option to export customer accounts from Actinic.

You would then be able to import these into your uploading machine.

      Hope that helps.

What you need to do is convert the 'User Defined' field in 'Design | Text | Web Site (cont) | Invoice Address' to a checkbox. You can first of all change the prompt here to something like 'Would you like to create a customer account' and then get hold of the Advanced User Guide and look at p65 'Turning a Text Field into a Check Box'. This will change the user defined field online into a checkbox.

          minimum order zero

          Hi all,

          oldhasbeen said

We're also looking for a good solution to this problem - Actinic's standard workaround is HORRIBLE and doesn't work if you've got a minimum order value set up!

There is a way round this....

          http://community.actinic.com/showthr...=minimum+order

it allows any size of order for unregistered customers , ie zero, so you can do the dummy product thing. It then makes the minimum order you set in business settings apply to registered customers only.

            Registration

            Hi Bruce,

does the method as mentioned in p45 of the advanced user guide affects the other actual products which uses the "single add to cart button" too?

or it will affect the registeration product only?

            Thanks
            Yong

p/S: is there any better way of doing the registeration besides checking out the dummy product to register?

There is'nt a better way as yet. This will only affect the registeration button, not the single add to cart button per page.

              Kind regards,

Register button for setting up account

Have read the thread but still can't find the magic clue as to how to get the register button to take you directly to the checkout and not to the view basket page

I have put the register button on the trade login page as I only want bona fide trade customers to try and register

Taking a look at the source code on the page, the link you have for the register now button has a http:// instead of https:// and is causing an error ' page not found'.

You will have to create the link as on page 45 of the AUG to get the button to take you straight to the checkout.

                    Kind regards,

Thanks Bruce, I corrected http to https and found another error.

I had to correct the SID on the register button as according to the info in page 45 of the AUG I had to ceate a section to contain my dummy 'register' product in order to set up the customvar:autocheck. I have done as the AUG said but it still will not take me straight to the checkout rather than the basket.
