      The side bar is 150 pix and the image is 140 pix. I can get text in there but not an image. I'm just trying to set up a link from the image to a message board. I've managed to do this under the side bar but not in the side bar itself.

        In that case you have inserted into the wrong template - when you click on edit and the template opens put the code / image into that and save
