    Time out errors

I have been plagued with this problem and have managed to cure it. The problem lies with the .pl files in the site 1 directory. Take a snapshot of your site so you have a backup. Go to the site1 directory, highlight and delete all the .pl files. Now go to the original folder and copy and paste all the .pl fils back into the site1 dir. Now do a full refresh of the site. The initial upload may take a while and still cause the occasional timeout, but once uploaded you should find that subsequent uploads ae troublefree. Good luck it worked for me and hopefully should resolve yours.

I am on Actinic 7 and still get these FTP issues. I can't see how it can be the .pl files as you say you may still get the timeouts after following your suggestion. Have you checked the Actinic FTP log file? You may find the server itself is causing a timeout.

My timeouts still happen even when not uploading .pl files, just modified catalog files.
