      Right whooooopppeeeeee it works and better still i have purchased a calculator for 0.84 and it all worked.

      Right so Malcolm thankyou so much, this now means I can get onto designers and get them to sort site.

      For the time being can i re import the snapshot of site so our guys can access the forum?

        Great news!. You MUST now do a snapshot of this site so you can go back to this if needed (This is important).

        I would contact your designers now and let them see the default site working. Once they have seen it you can try importing the designers site snapshot - I suspect it may not work but you can try knowing that you can put the site back to its current state with the snapshot you created.

        Its then down to your designers to sort out the template problems. Best of luck!

          Sorry forgot to ask when i import site snapshot do i go to file/snapshot/import or do i import from advanced/networksetting/import

            The import under Network Settings is just to import your network settings. A site snapshot is imported from the File menu.

            Now you have it working as a basic site and made a snapshot of that it might be a good idea to also export your network settings and keep that text file somewhere safe also.

              Hi have imported via file/snapshot/import

              Unfortunatley has not worked it is now in actinic but will still not upload to website so sample shop is on my website. I also noticed all the orginal errors are still coming up. So i assume the snapshot is corrupt.

              I have phoned designers and they are not responding also have now noticed on their website a message to say I have hired a person to maintain website and is in no relation to their original design. The only person maintaining for me is a gentleman who runs the invision board which is no way related to my software actinic?

              I am starting now to feel very let down by the designers and wonder what I have paid for.

                It looks like the snapshot was corrupt all the time. You could email me a copy and I will see if it can be recovered but it does not look good.

                          Have the original designers left there own web network settings on the snapshot and not the owners network settings, if so he will need to use his own settings

                              Hi Guys

                              Can I just say a huge thankyou to all involved especially Mal from Rural web.

                              Basically I think I have fallen fowl to a company that really has no idea what they are doing. Unnamed at present for legal reasons. Mal has found that my website which they started last year in July was never going to work.

                              I paid them in March so they would send me the Actinic software from here it never worked basically went from me phoning and talking to them and not getting anyway masses of emails. However I was slow to start my website as I have opened another two business's at this time so I was pretty rused at time and thought it would just eventually get sorted mainly though teething problems. But now aware that this is not the case at all.

                              I am now still unsure where to go from here all I can say is that I will be ringing them today and if no answer will be going down to birmingham as I have both address's for person involved. I dont even know whether I need to contact a solicitor or trading standards to try and get my money back.

                              I am also still sitting with no website unless I make a try to crate it myself with the help of my friend Simon. Have also spoken to Mal about this as well.

                              I think Mal would like me to state some of the issues that has stopped my website from ever being used, like home pages created outside of Actinic also changing Actinic themes instead of creating new ones. The HTML label on website is not the one being used and a whole can of worms bascially.

                              Thankyou very much you guys and Mal.

                              I could not have getting this far without the help from this forum. And may have been still waiting in months to come for my website to go online.

                                Hi another update my website back on line and getting new overhaul of a working order all thanks to Malcolm rural web.

                                This gentleman is worth his weight in gold and would recommend him highly.
