Emails Problems! Please help!

I have been trying to send confirmation emails to my customers but it keeps coming up with the following error:

Failed to communicate with the SMTP server.

Possible Cause:
1. Network transmission problems.
2. Could have Changed the SMTP Server settings, but not Uploaded after that.

Recommendation:
1. Retry
2. Upload the Site First, if you have changed the SMTP Server Settings.

Resolution:
If retry fails, check your SMTP settings
or contact your ISP.

I have uploaded the site again and I have been into Network Setup and ran a test - all passed apart form the message which just had - next to it.

Can anybody help me? Im not a whizz with actinic.

Sound like it is problems with your server not Actinic. Have the emails been working in the past? if so I would wait a while and try again or contact your host to see if there are any problems there.

who is the host and what are your network settings?

Yes, they were working last night but I have been trying this morning but keep getting the same error message.

I will contact my host and see what he says.
