Pete,
Can you confirm if your Host has made changes to the firewall to allow the NOCHEX call to come through? Development have had a look at this and they say that as far as they can tell the script was never called indicating that the firewall is still blocking the request.
Can you perhaps send Dhivya a copy of the server logs so that Dev can have a look at those, also the error.err file that you will find in the 'acatalog' folder, it is also accessible from Help | Troubleshooting, error log.
Kind regards,Bruce King

Kind regards,
When I Help | Troubleshooting, error log. we get:
'Sorry there has been a page error'
When i look using FTP there doesnt appear to be a file called error.err in the acatalog folder.
Getting our server logs now.

Hmmm could this be it?
Looking at our server logs i see a lot of:
62.105.93.124 - - [01/Aug/2006:10:07:41 +0100] "POST /cgi-bin/os000001.pl HTTP/1.1" 200 286 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; Win32; WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5)" pureskincare.co.uk
But our host has enabled www.nochex.com and secure.nochex.com on their firewall, they are 62.105.93.97!
Could we be there????????

Hello - update from my end - just had a call from technical guy at Nochex. No solution yet, but they have asked me to check out with my server whether my problem is the same as Pete's, so we await news on that ...
Have to say I feel so much better about it now I've at least managed to get some contact from the nochex end from someone who has some knowledge of what actinic is and what the problem might be. All thanks have to go to you guys at Actinic for pushing through with this behind the scenes - you've definitely made all the difference.
Will update on progress, once I have some!Caite

The people in this forum who have dealt with Actinic over a period of a few years will know that sooner or later they will produce a solution, you just need to hang on and wait.
It has been pretty well established that the problem you have is host related, since there are millions of hosts out there you can not realistically expect actinic to work perfectly on every single permutation all the time.
You have chosen to go down the route of wait for a solution rather than change host, therefore some of the delay in getting your site up and running is being caused by yourself.
Depending on who holds your domain reg, if you have a co.uk you can change hosts within 24 hours, a com can take longer. Even transfering a com the site can stay online during most of the transfer period.
Personally I don't understand why Nochex is such an important PSP for you. There are very few people familiar with Nochex. Most people who use Nochex as a payment method have it as an alternative, and also use other methods such as credit card and paypal.
I'm no fan of sites that only take paypal, but it is a simple procedure to set up Actinic with them, then as least you could be processing orders and not loosing all the money you say you are.
If you only have nochex as your payment method, I personally would never buy from you, as I would not be prepared to open a nochex acct simply for one purchase, especially if you consider that it will take me a matter of seconds to find someone else to sell me the same product with a more recognisable method of taking my money ie credit card. I don't supose I would be alone in this thinking.
You also have to evaluate on whether cheap hosting is value for money, at the beginning of the week you asked about cheap hosts who would be able to host actinic. If you put a value on how much time and energy you have spent on this issue and the lost sales you could probably have enough money to pay for a decent actinic experienced host 10 times over.

Is that an official Actinic response?

Jo is a 'developer' as in someone who uses actinic developer. She isn't one of actinics development team.
