i know that this is probably a V8 question, and i'll get a slap on the wrist but...
In V7 for me, there is a nasty bug. I'v previously looked into this, here on the forum, and since then, We've just been using the workaround, which has gotten far too painfull to continue with.
Make a product, then attribute, then, plenty of choices, in our case, it's sizes of inline skates and shoes.
now, we change availability on sizes, on literally a daily basis. This means some days we add and delete many many sizes. We usually hide them, then upload, unhide, add, and delete the choices on lots of items.
It breaks them.
some days there are errors, 'invalid combination' or some such thing. Where its messed up the order of the items and perl scripts get passed the wrong stuff, then no one can order that item, and if they can actually add it to the cart, the wrong size goes in, and before you know it....
... well, people complain, they got the wrong size.
our workaround, is to make a blank product. cut the list to it. paste the list back onto our original product, then upload.
not good! has anyone here had such an issue, and (the reason i apologised earlier) does it happen in V8?
