    Hi Everyone,

Just to say I have my on-line shop loaded thanks to the enterprise of a Fasthost suuport operative who knew something about Actinic.

Fasthosts (in my case) had to forward all my files to an APS to have the scripts debugged/cleaned and then sent back to Fasthosts to upload. In otherwords they use a third party server. If any of you are having trouble with file merging and SGI-BIN errors, get hold of your server tech support and ask them to forward all your files to an APS server. It took about 15 minutes to do this and hey presto, site is now up and running.

Glad you got it sorted and thanks for letting us know the cause of the problem.

I also want to say, thanks for all the help given earlier today and I find the forum most imformative and I will be back sooner than later.

I think both Actinic and Fasthosts need to talk to each other as obviously there is a software/server problem. It would save countless hours by ALL PARTIES to sort out this uploading problem which is known at Fasthosts, but tend to call it as an Actinic problem. Well as I see it, it is everyone's problem which costs us the end user a lot of time and money and only results in both Actinic and Fasthosts getting flamed. but then I could also ware my cynical hat and say that without releasing certain information about angst in Actinic Catalog, then it would encourage Actinic users to purchase their cover plan at £250 a year. But they wouldn't do that would they?
Obviuosly there is something wrong with the upload for it to be sent to a third party, whether that problem is at Fasthosts or Actinic, will of course always be open to debate.

Thanks guys from a much relieved Old Bloke, with business now coming in again.

.....as a footnote..I think the support said APS..he said it so quick I barely got a chance to hear it let alone write it down...!but all my files and folders definately went to a third party server.
