Well I ain't shy too ask for help myself!

For what its worth it would have been easy for her not to reply stating the payment issue wouldn't it? (Maybe the boss have preferred not to lol) Good to see she drew a line under the problem, for now at least anyway.

          Actinic Installation

IT support guy says he simply reinstalled Actinic on the new PC and then transferred the Site1 folder from the old PC to the new. This appeared to have worked ok to him (at least the site looked ok when viewed from the PC). However any updates we make (e.g. to item price) do not now update when we make them.

I think we have now gone past the point where we can revisit the old PC, take a snapshot and transfer it to the new installation. We have made too many changes to the database since the transfer took place and we have not kept a record of changes (IT support guy is not familiar with Actinic and didnt realise it could do snapshot).

Is there any way we can manually alter what we have on the PC right now so it can properly update the website?

Check that you don't have copies of the web pages in your site1 folder. I seem to remember there being a problem with some V7 versions (all?) where an old page in the site1 folder would be uploaded instead of the new one.

PS: make sure you have a good backup of all files before you start deleting anything.

Can you tell me how we would be able to tell if something in the site1 folder is a copy?

I read this as meaning the transfer from old PC to new PC is fine.

Actinic on the new PC shows the new price in the product dialog box, but when uploading the site to the web the price is still the old one.

If this is true, could we have a URL showing a product with the wrong price, and info as to what the price should be

Hi thast exactly the problem...... a typical example would be on this page:

                  http://www.surridgesport.com/acatalo...et_Whites.html

The price of the first item should be £19.95/ Euro 29.93

On Tuesday the website let me upload a message on the main page explaining we have some problems, this is what i dont understand. It has reverted to some old things on some pages but not on others.

It might be a good idea to do a full web purge and refresh of the website (Help menu, Troubleshooting)

yes and then it reuploads it.

this way your old html pages should get removed and a new ones uploaded
