    Snapshot movement by FTP problems

Myself and my client are both working on version 7.0.4.000FEVA.
Have been exchanging snapshots by CD with no import problems.
Client used FTP to moce acd to a server and I downloaded and got
    "Error message is
Operation aborted because the requested action was not recognised. Please contact your Actinic reseller or Actinic Support as appropriate for advice.
    There is 1 Fatal error
    Details
    FATAL ERRORS
The selected file does not contain a Site group - it contains a user-selected import."

    Acd size is 54MB.
Tried several variations of FTP data type transfer, ASCII etc same error.
Tried zipping a good acd myself and FTP to server, download back and zip cannot open error-file is 5K short!
Looking at raw acd ftp transfer and back again and it is also bytes short.

    Has anyone seem/resolved this problem?

Any help would be great, I have a ticket with support but got a friendly "I am on holiday for a week" email !!!!

Probably not much help but I routinely swap v7 and v8 ACD's via FTP and they always arrive fine.. usually leave the transfer type on auto and it moves fine.. I use a combination of Leech, IE and Firefox and all work OK.. so it is possible to send a receive via FTP.

This is a typical example of the shortcomings of the design snapshot IMO. In most cases we shouldn't need to have to transfer a complete snapshot.

Please don't wind me up about that, i have kept very calm this week even though that feature shafted me and my client big time. Grrr i can feel myself boiling up thinking of how antiquated i have had to work cos of that serious hole in the floor.

                  Relax and breathe.....

                  Better now.

Boy, Boys ... this is v7 forum so no need to get angry ... you can do that in the v8 with the Partial Design Snapshot
