When trying to upload or download I get the following error message and the task aborts.
This a fresh install of Version 7 from disk then updated using the 7.0.7.0.0.0. patch.
The error message simply reads:
Payment service provider, PROTX, failed to register properly - class ID ({AC060015-43EE-11D2-9520-080000511272}), and roughly the same for PayPal.
Here's the clue:
I have two versions of Actinic under the Program Files directory - Actinic Ecommerce v6 and Actinic v7.
If I completely remove the Actinic Ecommerce v6 directory, then try uploading or downloading from Actinic v7 I get the above error message and the task fails at the Checking files... stage.
So, I shut down Actinic v7, replace Actinic Ecommerce v6, restart v7 and hey presto it works again!
This tells me that it is using something from v6 that cannot function when v6 is unavailable.
To pursue this theory I need to find the task that is accessing v6.
I want to seperate and remove v6.
Any suggestion, comments, help would be appreciated although I think this issue might even challenge the experienced or professional programmer or coder.
