    world pay question (non immediate payments)

    if i use the worldpay direct with actinic. Does the catalogue have to be set for immediate payments, can i have control over this?

    Actinic can be set up to either preauthorise payments or take payment immediately, if you choose the former then payments arrive with a preauthorised status and then you enter a payment in Actinic for that order when you take the payment - we do this and it works well.

    Worldpay has to be set up to either preauthorise or take payment immediately - you should call support or email whoever sent you your worldpay details to change the method. If you have gone to worldpay through a worldpay integrator then they would be able to sort this out for you.

    My experience with worldpay is that they set both of my accounts up to work with Select Junior and I had to ask them to change them to Actinic installations with the preauthorise option. The first time could have been my mistake because I probably filled the form in wrong but the second time would have been their mistake.

          I dont wish worldpay/actinic to take payments immediately.
          I wish for the cerdit card details to be preauthorise and payments
          to be taken on my say so.

            It works like this. The orders will come into Actinic with the purchasers details as usual.

            You then must go into the Worldpay Admin screens and take the payments. If you suspect an order of being dodgy then you dont take the payment. Saves any trouble with chargebacks.

            Just be careful that you DO TAKE payments within 5 days or they will be lost.

                  I am having some trouble with a test order

                  I can’t seem to make it complete

                  I have printed packing list & invoice
                  Sent emails
                  Selected shipped

                  and i have authorized/complete the transaction on worldpay

                  the payment in actinic says authorized! is this stopping the order
                  from been complete?

                    Go to the 'Progress and Payments Tab' and click 'New Entry' to notify Actinic when payment has been received for the order.

                    That should then mark the order as completed.

                      I did that new entry - payment received - credit card etc

                      and the order is still incomplete


                      is there something else or perhaps the order?


                      could it because its in test mode?

                      would you be so kind to list everything that has to be done
                      just incase i have missed something.. i am sure i have not ?

                        The things that have to be done are:

                        1) You need to mark all the order lines in the order as either shipped or cancelled.

                        2) You need ot mark payments as 'received'

                        3) You need to take some record of the order. This is either by printing an invoice or a data-entry report (if enabled) or by carrying out an export.

                        If you have done all these, I suggest you contact Actinic Support (at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm) and ask them to take a look at your snapshot. Mention this thread then you register your email support request.
