If Paypal and Actinic communicated as they should then I’m sure this extra work would not be necessary.
Buzby thanks for the reply, how do you verify that the paypal payers address is the correct one for the card?

I was planning on using PayPal as the sole PSP for a clients Actinic site I'm currently working on. Having read this thread though I'm now thinking twice about that! Is there a fix for this address problem??

May I presume then, from the replies, if you are using PayPal with Actinic you take a chance and post to the address supplied by the purchaser? and, if the card is fraudlent and PayPal take back the money from the site owner it's hard luck!

        Regards
        Peter.

Peter, the card won't post if it is an incorrect address. You have to have the correct billing address in order for the card to post. If the customer has a PayPal account it then gives the choice to ship to another address or use the verified address on file with paypal. I have tried it using the suggestion below removing the "no_shipping" Add Posts from the 'OCCPayPalTemplate.pl'
and it seems to work fine. The invoice that I received from PayPal has the shipping address on it, and I can change the ship to address up front but the billing address had better be right or the card won't post. Also, I don't think that PayPal will allow a shipment to another address unless it has been authorized by the Card Holder through the financial institution. I will have to test that one.

          Thanks

Ok Eagle, thanks for the reply, I'll try altering the perl file and take it from there.

              Peter B,

I made the change in the perl file and the address seems to be sent to paypal with no problems.

I still have to manually check that payment has been received though.

Peter, I am so glad it worked for you. I too have to check to see that the payment has been received. I do not understand why it does not update when the payment has been accepted. Think maybe something to do with the way PayPal is set up. Maybe something with the AutoReturn feature of PayPal.

To Tech Support - Is there any documentation relative to the way the PayPal account has to be set up to work properly with Actinic? I couldn't seem to find any.

                Thanks
