    Checkout warnings

    Hi All,

I would like to know how I could change the background and text size for the warning areas in the checkout. Please see attached screen. I cannot fing the variable "error" or the code which shows up in Firebug. I have changed it to green playing around. In Actinic it is black.

    Thanks!

Well the colour looks like it is applied to the table tag (bgcolor), which is where i presume you have changed it in firefox, so just do exactly the same on the design tab on that page?

You can also see in your image the class that is applied to the text, replicate this class with a different name, apply it to that area and then have a larger font size in this new class. Alternatively, you could style it inline as it will probably be the only need for it, whatever you are most comfortable doing really, it will make little difference.

      Hi Lee,

The issue is I caanot find what layout it is. In Actinic, when I click on the error location in the checkout pages, <actinic:variable name="Error"/> shows up. If i can find the code in Actinic, I will change accoedingly.

      Thanks Lee

You asked how to change the width of this a few days ago Bob, sounds like it is in the same place that you changed that.

              Hi Lee,

I dont remember ever asking to change the width of this area. I am now focusing on the checkout process customization. I appreciate your help though.
              Thanks!!

Back in June you wrote "Ok almost there". At the start of this month your checkout pages were trashed and only now you state that you are moving onto the customisation of this area.

I sincerely think when this site gets launched that you should throw a party. You have the patience of a saint and the determination of a dog with a bone. If nothing else you should be applauded for sheer persistance.

I also hope that you send Louise a Christmas card, cause she has shown more patience than i thought a human could ever possibly do. She should rename her business to 'Mother Theresa Web Design'.

You can change the background colour of this box to match all the other form backgrounds in

Design | Themes | advanced themes configuration

by entering the colour code into the box top right. You would need to put the "%s" back and delete the colour code you entered in 1 ID 2178.

I do not know if this is what you are looking for, but it is a quick and easy solution.

                    Regards

I had a look at the error page and notice the text shows in the form, I presume you have modified it to your liking.

What I did notice when viewing the checkput pages e.g https://www.valleydecoratingdepot.com/cgi/os000002.pl in IE6 the centre panel is not against the left navigation panel but underneath it. Consequently you cannot see the title of the data fields such as Name, Address etc. The top of the form with data is someway down the page about on line with ther navigation item table top decor.

The page dispalys correctly in FireFox 2

                      Regards

Hi Chris and thanks for the reply. So in otherwords the page is useless in IE6?

I am using 7 and cannot figure out how to install 6 on this machine to test this.
                        Thanks!!

Most likely a width issue a CSS layout with float left and float right in a fixed width. You could size up the main area you have a wider design.

                              Hi Louise!!

I wish I could see these issues. I have IE7 with Vista. I use the new FF and opera also.

OK you say size it up a bit, larger or smaller?? 762 to 800?? Or 762 to 700?? I would not be able to see the changes in IE7 correct? i will give Pinbrook's site a looking at.

                              Thankyou very much!
                              Thanks!!
