just received the following email from protx which seems to suggest the changes are being made at actinics end. it also uses the past tense suggesting changes have already been made.

bruce - does this tally with what you have found out from your development team?

As you are using Actinic all the system improvements have been put into place by the shopping cart themselves so there is no need for you to make any changes.

          It's ok, Bruce, thanks.

It seems Protx are making life difficult for everyone of late (my Protx isn't even working today but that's a whole other matter) so hopefully we'll get some answers soon.

          Cheers

                  Just received this from Protx
You simply have to get your web developers to point your website at our Test server. Then you just make a 'test' purchase on your website, as if you were a customer, then you can view the details by loging into your Test admin area. Please be aware that there are specific Test credit card details for use with the test server, including AVS and CV2 details. Please go to Fraud Advice for information on setting up 3D Secure.

                      Bruce,

I have also just been made aware that until Actinic has this patch in place no payment confirmations will be recognised by Actinic as the Protx confirmation will be coming from a foreign server. This will mean that stock does not update and order confirmation emails will not be sent to the customer.

                      Is this the case?

By the way i am still using v7.05.

                      Thanks.

If this is the case then all orders will fall into the PSP Pending tab.
In v8, stock will still update even if payment isn't received as it does still affect stock levels for orders within the psp pending tab

Agreed that, if Actinic isn't receiving payment details, customers won't receive order confirmation (or even reach a receipt page) though which can only cause confusion for customers not to mention adding extra work as we try to tally up payments received with orders in the psp pending tab.

However, if this info has come from Protx...it may not be entirely accurate so I'd be interested to hear from Actinic on this??

As August 1st approaches, there is not enough being said by support/development about this change which is clearly causing confusion amongst retailers

                        Come on, Actinic...speak up!

I do hope that Actinic are giving this their highest priority, having such confusion and seemily unpreparedness at this late stage beggars belief.

ive been following this thread with interest, as i was looking at signing up with protx

                            is it worth it?
                            or should i go secpay?

hopefully it will be fixed soon and i can mke my mind up
Remembering the road to Actinic enlightenment is a long and sometimes painful one.

                              IMO Protx are great!

and, in all fairness, it's not Protx who are keeping us on the dark here.
They've sent out regular, informative newsletters over the last 6 months or so regarding these changes and their service has been good.

It's not Protx who aren't communicating with us...

I have read this a different way, that is

All existing methods will still work as they are using a redirect to point old pages to new, also the call back should make no difference what server it comes from, i could be mistaken here, but i understood that actinic looks for the occ file on your server to match the order, regardless of were the file comes from
