    problem setting up Protx

If I am being thick, apologies in advance.

I thought I had set up Protx correctly but when I try to place a test order and go through the checkout process choosing Protx, I'm getting error 5030 from Protx.

One thing I have noticed is that when I reopen the PCCProtxScriptTemplate.pl in C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Sites\Site1\CommonOCC my password and confirmation email have been overwritten with testvendor and test@test.com

I've been back over the instructions and looked at Bruce's sticky, but can't see what I'm doing wrong.

Can one or more of you more enlightened souls help me please?

This is a common error meaning Protx cannot encrypt what is being sent (ie wrong server with no account set up)

Insert your correct codes from protx and check that your protx settings are in production.

You cannot switch to test from live within protx as they live on different servers. If you need to go back to test mode you can either select a dummy payment method or request direct assistance from protx.

IMHO once you have the GOLIVE email from protx...you cannot do a 360.

    I could be wrong tho....

Regarding the overwriting, have you just upgraded?

I'm not trying to go live yet. I'm still trying to get the test to work.

It seems to overwrite when it finds the new payment provider, but I could be giving you false info here!

        Ahhh

so it is still a dummy site.

OK, no problem, just to confirm the steps you have taken?

In site 1 ensure you have inserted the encryption key and email addy into the file common occ/OCCPROTXScriptTemplate..then click SAVE

In your actinic root folder, increase the count by 1 (from 1249 to 1250 or similar) and SAVE

Close down actinic, reopen actinic and it will upgrade your psp's

Check your file and see if the data has been retained and let me know

I've just been going through the whole process again, including downloading the patch from Protx web site.

This time I looked at the files rather than just checking OK on the 'do you want to replace ...' question, and the dates are a bit odd - the one I am replacing is 'last modified 18/12/06' and the replacement is 25/04/05.

Is this what I am doing wrong. Is it not necessary to dowload this patch?

I think I misread the info about the patch. Now I've reread it, it's clearly not necessary to sue with v8.

I'll retore the old files and see where I get to!!!

clearly I was being thick!! as I didn't need to uplaod patch.

It's now working fine in test mode EXCEPT that the message:

"You will now be automatically transferred to the Protx VSP secure server to process your credit card details with complete confidence.
This catalog is currently running in test mode. Your credit card will not be debited. "

is showing as two long lines, so you have to scroll down to below the right nav to find it, so people will think there's a blank screen.

I've just checked my 19 inch monitor and it's up beside the right nav, but of course lots of people don't have 19 inch monitors!!!

                help!

you need to change the width on your checkout table.

It is set by default at 600px but that is too wide. Bring it in to around 450 and see it that is enough

                        You got it.

You can do it many ways so here is 1...

DESIGN | SHOPPING CART (Drop down menu)

Click on the inner layout so the table is selected, right click on ACTSWIDTH and change therein...(edit variable)

                        Regards

                          Hi Daren,

I did that, I think, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. The Protx message is still not wrapping round, so is down at the bottom of the screen!
