Google Checkout

I’ve read through all the threads I can find on the forum about Google Checkout. It looks like it’s been quite a hot topic since 2005, but it does not seem today that Actinic has integrated it with actinic business or that it seems now high on the actinic wish list. Perhaps with Actinic having their own payment service it might be seen as competition?

However my question is has anybody on the forum integrated Google Checkout themselves with Business V8 and if so could anyone give some pointers how to do this?

We hope to introduce Google Checkout in v10 of Catalog/Business/Enterprise, due next year.

Google Checkout is already available in Actinic Express.

Next year, eh? Are you in a position to narrow it down to the beginning or latter half of the year..or even which quarter of the year v10 is looking good for?

Is there any point? At best you're going to get an estimate for the initial release date whereas what really counts is the stable usable release. Think V10.0.2 / 10.0.3

Realistically, I'm hoping for a stable version 9 release by the end of 2009. IMO both versions 8 and 9 were released far too early and both were not fit for the purpose intended, I expect v10 to be released in the mid-to-late next year, and a stable release to be issued early in 2010.

I'm using business multisite v8 and I just want to confirm that Google checkout cannot be used with the version I'm using. Is that correct?

as it says at the top of the thread, it is one of the promised new features for v10. V10 will be released sometime in 2009, judging by past experience i would take a punt at predicting not before July for the first edition and several months later for a stable version. The voices in my head are telling me i won't be using v10 for 12 months.
