Payment methods that DONT require a merchant account?

    Maybe only having Paypal just makes people uneasy because you look less professional? I'm not really sure. But within weeks of adding it, my business went up considerably (though this could have been due to other factors, too).


    I would seriously consider joining the FSB and getting the Streamline deal (free set up). I have a £10 minimum on both accounts (internet and MOTO), but being able to take telephone orders is really important for my business as I have customers who use my site as a catalogue and then like to order by phone. I use Actinic Payments for my gateway. It's really painless. You even get one of those old skool slidey card machines, though I've never had the chance to use it LOL

    And I would use the Standard Paypal option because you can use your own buttons, then.

      Hmm, I need to do some research as I don't have a clue what is involved in this.

      The FSB - I take it I need to start there.

      Whats involved in getting a merchant account, money, credit rating....?

      I've come to the conclusion I definitly need it.
