Paypal Express Checkout - Special Characters Problem

I didn't expect this... but on the last few days of our support contract running out... support came back alive and managed to fix this for us...

Attached file (replace in sites/CommonOCC folder)
- our file is based on v18.02, has two fixes:
#1 : Paypal Address Truncation Problem
#2 : Paypal Special Characters

Comparing the files of the two fixes, the special charaters fix was quite simple

: we're out of SD support now... hoping someone else has one here...

Nice to see Sellerdeck have fixed it. It won't have been a huge bit of coding effort but with testing and verifying it all adds up.

Just had a customer chase an order - paid by Paypal Express and did not receive order confirmation...

Searched the postcode and found 2 orders in the PSP Pending... (see attached image)

Not sure what happened as customer did not say any problems during checkout

Looking at the "name" on the order, the shipping side is different and it
#1 : Did not like the "apostrophe"
#2 : Capitalised the name

I'd run a test by changing my name, but I can't do it on Paypal...
amending the name in Paypal is a lot more complicated than having an extra address (see attached image)

I'm not sure there's anything in Sellerdeck that treats the name field differently from the others. You could try testing with an apostrophe somewhere in one of the address fields.
