Hi I have a shipping problem someone might have an answer to.
We sell hand made cards and invitations. All our individual cards are free first class delivery with a special delivery option, I have done this by setting the first class delivery to category basis and special delivery to weight and given the cards a weight value.
It works fine but I want to have a maximum UK delivery charge of £12. I know I can use by weight basis and set excess to highest value but then the cards are not free first class delivery. I have tried to give the cards a zero weight so they are free delivery but then so is special delivery!
I have set the weight of the cards to 15kg and zero charge for this weight so they are free and then special delivery at £4.50 for 15kg this works for the individual cards, but not if anyone orders a large quantity of say invitations because they are charged free as well.
So in a nutshell how can I either use categories or weight basis to give a specific product free delivery but also have a maximum delivery charge of £12 on any UK order?
Thanks in advance for any help received.
