"Your Catalog URL appears to be invalid"

Am getting the following error when testing my network settings for 1st Actinic upload:
"Your Catalog URL appears to be invalid. The files uploaded to the given 'Path from cgi-bin to acatalog directory', can not be downloaded via the browser on the given Catalog URL. These two access routes don't point to the same destination on the server"
    .

Settings for the two offending lines are:

    catalog URL: http://www.<my URL>.co.uk/acatalog/
path from cgi-bin to acatalog ../acatalog/

I've ftp'd into the site via another program
and the cgi-bin and acatalog are at the same level which appears to be the root of the server:

    e.g the folder list is:
    acatalog
    cgi-bin
    htdocs

    Rest of the test:
    Actinic Mail Test completed successfully
    server: passed
    connection: passed
    sockets: passed
    communications: failed
    authorisation: passed

have also got a prob with the email but will worry about that when this is sorted.

Have tried various permutations with the settings but am now just going around in circles [and getty very dizzy].

    Any help very much appreciated.
    Many thanks

Should there be two acatalog folders?

    more info ....

Have been looking at the web site structure via an ftp program and I seem to have two acatalog folders e.g.

    folder structure:

    acatalog/BrochureTestPage.html

    cgi-bin/acatalog/BrochureTestPage.html
    cgi-bin/cp000001.pl
    cgi-bin/ts000001.pl

    htdocs

Should there be two acatalog folders????

Nope. There should only be one. It looks like something in your network setup is confused. It might be best to go to Advanced / Network Setup and Export your settings to a text file which you can paste in here. make sure you hide the FTP username and passwords first.

        Hello Norman

        Network Setting attached as requested.

re the path from cgi-bin to acatalogue have tried, without success:
        ./acatalog/
        ../acatalog/

I've probably created the second acatalog folder [but which is the 2nd?] with messing about trying to get it to work.

        Many thanks

          PATHFROMCGITOCATALOG ./acatalog/

looks wrong and is responsible for that mystery acatalog of your cgi-bin. this should be

          PATHFROMCGITOCATALOG ../acatalog/

          also

          WEBSITEURL www.dobusinesswith.co.uk
          is usually fully qualified e.g.

          WEBSITEURL http://www.dobusinesswith.co.uk

            Hello Norman

            Many thanks for your response

Have removed the duplicate acatalog folder on website
Have changed the cgi-bin to acatalog path back to:
            ../acatalog/

and prefixed the website URL with "http://"

but am still getting the same error message:
Your Catalog URL appears to be invalid. The files uploaded to the given 'Path from cgi-bin to acatalog directory', can not be downloaded via the browser on the given Catalog URL. These two access routes don't point to the same destination on the server.

BTW, there is a "htdocs" folder.
Should the acatalog and cgi-bin folders be inside this htdocs folder?
Currently, they are on the same level e.g.

            acatalog
            cgi-bin
            htdocs

I haven't tried to upload the site yet thought I should get the settings correct first.

Any other suggestions would be most appreciated.
            Many thanks

              try

              PATHFROMCGITOCATALOG ../htdocs/acatalog/

and leave cgi-bin where it is.

If that fixes things then delete that acatalog that's off your root.
