It seems that in order to obtain SSL certification, I first need to generate a CSR (certificate signing request)
The following advice is given.
Now my site will be www.magicalwonders.com but I don't want the whole site to be secure. Just the bit that Actinic uses when taking credit card and personal details. I assume this is the URL that I need to enter as FQDN ?
I'm not sure how to work out the correct URL needed for SSL.
Anyone got any pointers?
Also, is it O.K to upload Actinic before I have the certificate in place, or would it be best to hold back until that part is sorted?
Many thanks,
Myles

General Points to remember before creating your CSR:
The Common Name field should be the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or the web address for which you plan to use your Certificate, e.g. the area of your site you wish customers to connect to using SSL. For example, an Complete ssl Certificate issued for completessl.com will not be valid for
secure.completessl.com. If the web address to be used for SSL is secure.completessl.com, ensure that the common name submitted in the CSR is
secure.completessl.com
