    HSPHERE: cgi-bin settings

I have read through the threads on setting permissions etc. I have reset cgi-bin to 777 and stilll no joy. Am now getting very frustrated as I have double-checked everything and the ISP checked the settings and says they are correct. So what do I try next???

    ISP checked the settings
You need to give us some more info to go on:

    Who is your host
    What are your network settings
Has the site worked before - is it a new upload
    URL
    etc etc etc

Thanks Jo, I got one step further using your settings (attached in web_settings.txt).

Now it is saying that the CGI-BIN URL is incorrect.
          http://www.getupandgrow.ie/cgi-bin/
which I've double checked and I'm sure is correct.

Any suggestions on what I might try next? please!

take the htaccess off the cgi-bin and it may work, networksettings probably can't get past your user login box

I deleted the .htaccess in the cgi-bin folder and that got me to my next error following entering the path to perl: /usr/bin/perl

An error occurred while sending an HTTP request to the web server. Perhaps your network is down or the web server is down. Try again or contact your network administrator or ISP to correct the situation.

I logged out of webshell, and server is definately up.

              Any more suggestions please Jo

I'd just check your DNS and PC. Make sure you can ping the domain at the correct IP from your PC.

The settings I gave you work on my servers which also have Hsphere CP.
