Hi
I would like to get some help regarding the first time upload of my website. I am using V8 (I am in the USA) and every time I try to up load I get the message invalid server name. I had a look through this site and I see that people have had problems with Go-Daddy who I am using. I go the deluxe hosting Linux-1 package. I sent an email that was written by Bruce at the top of this forum and they said yes to d) Do I have the ability to POST data to my CGI scripts? (Yes)
Is there something that I need to check in the software to upload that I have not done? I have a dedicated IP address and they told me that’s what I put in the server host box on the Advance Network Set Up. Should I put anything before the IP like ftp:// I have tried this and I still get the same message.
I have tired using the Proxy/Fire wall Configuration and I get this message:
The wizard is unable to establish a connection to the internet. Please tell the wizard about your proxy setup. The last error was: the FTP session was terminated.
Could I have a problem with the proxy settings/firewall for my Windows XP?
I hope somebody can help as I am going crazy trying to sort this puzzle out.
Andy
