OK, given that your site isn't live, i'd simply change host, and take the domain registration with you.
Matbe consider moving the domain reg to an independant 3rd party (uk-reg, easily.co.uk are good places to start) . Change TAG to your new registrar. Then you will be free to change NS at your will/convenience without having to pay each time as your registrar will have given you a control panel.
then choose your new host - search this community for recommended hosts. I would advise using a smaller specialist so you can get the help you need to initially upload - some hosts will suppply you with network settings to take the pain away.
When you've chosen who you want to use, use your new registrar's control panel to change nameservers.
Bobs your uncle - live site - pain free.
