After updating website using Actinic pages are no longer visible on the 'net?

Yesterday I was updating my online store, no problem. Everything seemed fine until about an hour later I looked at the web and my store was not visible. I've pinged the site and it is there, but you cannot view it in the browser. Now when I try to refresh the website, actinic tell me that it is 'unable to connect to the ftp server'.

    Please can anyone help?

    Thanks!

    Usual questions

Site url?, Network settings? Host? Actinic version?

      Site URL www.thejumpshop.co.uk
      Network settings HTTP (?)
Host is Linux based Ubuntu Apache Webserver
      Actinic version 8

Hope this helps? If I haven't quite understood, or if you require more info, please advise! Thank you for responding so swiftly :-)

        It's probably: http://www.thejumpshop.co.uk

It looks completely dead to me. The DNS seems to be OK but there doesn't seem to be any response from the web server.

It looks like a hosting problem. Contact your hosts.

          Network settings HTTP
Host is dedicated Linux based Ubuntu Webserver

Interestingly, Google's cached copy of the site as at 20th January (ie before the upload) shows a blank page as well.

Oddly, a tracert on the IP address seems to go to pipex's DSL routers and a lookup gives this:

                netname: NILDRAM-DSL-STATIC-CUST29-01
                descr: Customer /29 static adsl

Is the website being hosted on his own (or a friends) PC?
