    Email Problem

Hi, I hope this is posted in the correct section.

I have Sellerdeck hosting, my website is working OK but I am unable to connect to the server to download my emails. Everything was working fine last night.
Does anyone know if there are server issues? Below is the error I get

The host 'mail.***********.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'mail.**********.com', Server: 'mail.**********.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

    Thanks for your help.

The service status page is showing no problems with hosting.

    http://www.sellerdeck.co.uk/index.ph...service-status

But I guess that just means they're not aware of any problems.

Is there not a phone number for hosting support somewhere? I'll see if I can find it.

Sorry, it doesn't look like there is a number for weekends.

Try PM'ing swardell with a message. If he's around he might be able to look into it.

Hi, there are no server issues but I cant even get your web site! it looks as though your domain name registration may have expired or your DNS is not working.

I checked and as far as I can tell the domain name was not purchased from SellerDeck.

Can you check you DNS and domain registration are current

DNS is cached at multiple levels so when it stops working, or a domain expires, the effect is often not immediate.

http://host003.sellerdeckwebhosting.co.uk/ is the servers test page, which is working fine, as are various other hosted web sites I have checked.

Have you checked you DNS and domain registration?

                    if I check with mxtoolbox

                    http://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?...sonstackle.com

I am told the A record is looped, which is not good and indicative of a DNS issue

well you say your domain registration is ok and I agree from your info it looks like it is, so it doesnt seem to be an expired domain. That leaves either a misconfigured DNS or nameservers that are not working

                        the nameservers look to be

                        harrisonstackle.com. 55375 IN NS ns6.bfirst.uk.com.
                        harrisonstackle.com. 55375 IN NS ns7.bfirst.uk.com.

                        bfirst.uk.com redirects to http://www.thewebclinic.co.uk/

are these companies you are aware of?

Business 1st is the company who have the domain name.

Don't know anything about the web clinic?
