Error: Error opening configuration file ../public_html/acatalog/prompt.fil. No such f

We changed host this week and have had issues with cgi-bin path. I think we've nearly resolved it but everytime I try to place a product in the basket, I get the error:

Error: Error opening configuration file ../public_html/acatalog/prompt.fil. No such file or directory

I get a similar error when I just try to view the cart.

I'm using v10. The site worked perfectly before we had the site transferred to the new host.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are quite a few threads for "error opening configuration file" that might help you including one in the Knowledge Base that sounds very similar.

A search will show the relevant threads and might help you.

We've managed to solve the public_html/acatalog/prompt.fil issue.

We were able to take files from an old backup on the server and reinstall them. However, this has raised a different issue.

The prices displayed for the products are correct, but when you place the product into the basket, it reverts to an old price. Does anyone know why this may be happening?

That's not a safe thing to do. These files are automatically generated every time you upload and that's the only way to keep them up to date.

If your site now passes the network test, it would be best to do a Refresh to be sure that everything gets properly updated.

I just did a refresh and all is now working okay.
