Will you please make new forum catergories for the following (it don't take 5 mins to do this!)

1) website reviews only

2) FTP uploads (members MUST post their web host provider and their network settings)

3) All members MUST post a title even if replying to a thread/post

anything else anyone here can think of that is getting posted time and time again, answered time and time again in the wrong forum section or wherever it appears and or bumped

Perhaps I'm having a bad day here, but as I run a forum (non paid urrrgghh) it aint easy but there are some bloody great pro people here whom have helped me out and I fear they will get so hashed off with the "Jive Bunny" effect of posts that we will all loose out for expert advice and I for one don't want that to happen

So please can you act on this .............?

I've been having this discussion on another forum I use...some people who post just don't want to help themselves...they want answers on a plate...or, better still, done for them.

Maybe we need a pop up prompt when you hit "submit post" saying "Have you searched the forums/help files/knowledgebase...if your answer is in there...post at your own peril" or suchlike

or...or.....maybe we need an auto-destruct feature for all questions that are posted that have answers either in the forums/help files already

I do have certain spikes still under investigation, too soon to postulate on their exact cause (and effect) but early theory suggests it is due to the arrival of George, Tracey and Kathy!!

That would only work if you had a good search function that could actually give the results you want. That said thread titles like "Help Please !!!!!" have got to be the best i kow exactly what people are after.

It's a good Job Mr hack did all that hard work and listed those threads and found loads of answer to the problems - i never like to think anyway it's so much easier to ask someone else

I am honoured by your remark, YES, Rural IS like this in his replies, I got them from him when I started and thought

"Woooooooooooh dude!" but thinking back he had/has a point with his answers, I'm no pro like you or him but I'm not lazy in simply "asking the question" without looking for the answer first even if it takes me days to find it

I certainly don't want my attitude to rub of on you Tracey, but I've only been on here a few months and so I'm quite new but I do get so bloody wound up with forums sometimes, it's probably why I no longer post on my own forum cos no-one bothers to help themselves as you quite rightly mentioned and want everything done for them NOW

I know exactly what you mean - that bloody Tracy spends her day chasing me around the forum instead of getting on with her work, and Kathy well turn in to a right little Tracy no2, Big G ermmmmmm outdate points table is all i can say
