I'm not lazy in simply "asking the question" without looking for the answer first even if it takes me days to find it

This has been a bone of contention for some time with the regular posters and some posters "demanding" answers without bothering to look or think.

If you live on this forum like some of us do all the threads are read so we know where they are and see a pattern forming so it is easy to find stuff. I am all with Malcolm in empowering people to think about a solution rather than asking for help every 5 minutes or bothering to look.

I'll build up to big crescendo shortly, at the moment i just mutter 'twat' at my screen and move on. Unless we work collectively to stop the lazy can't be arsed posters, it will achieve nothing anyway. If 10 of us refuse to answer, there is always a goody-two shoes to jump in and this is what paints the wrong picture.

This forum is not here to do peoples work for them, it is here to help them along the way and give a push in the right direction. There is a clear distinction in my eyes, althougn it appears somewhat blurred in others.

I wish i was a mod for a month, i'd just delete any crap and get the indexing and the forum breakdowns rationalised immediately. Any stupid questions, id post a link to the 'new to the forum' sticky and then close the thread. Once a week id remove all close threads from the previous week.

On joining the forum, it would be mandatory for me if you have a problem, to do the following:

1. Read the new members post
2. Search the forum
3. If search no good, add a thread in the right chuffing forum
4. Add a good title, crap titles immediately deleted and you can write the whole post out again.
5. Anyone using title - "please help!!" gets a week read-only ban
6. Anyone saying they're a newbie or im a girlie, gets a week read-only ban. You can be new and a girl - it doesn't mean you have to leave your brain in bed for the day!
