Tracey, there is at least 3 of us so far, so it's not just you. It's pissed me off for months, incredibly annoying when it crashes as you respond with a long reply and lose the lot. You soon learn to spot the momentary hang and CTRL-C very quickly before you lose the lot. No back button, no reliability on sending, give me .net anyday, view state is my friend.

well it's good to know it isn't just me although why it's only just started, I don't know.
My connection at home is BT and, Lee, I agree about the losing replies thing. Part of the problem is that once it's hung, I can't even click on the page to highlight or select anything. Maybe I'll have to get into the habit of copying EVERY reply before I hit end
As for using someone else's details...I kind of do this at work at times. About twice a week (randomly though) I have to use an alternative IP logged in as my own on the network here (dunno why...apparently my own doesn't disconnect sometimes when I leave...they didn't really seem to be able to tell me why)Tracey

Croccy do you mean on the TCP/IP settings page. I've just converted mine to automatic, although i changed it to specific addresses to overcome the problem.
It appears to be triggered by too much activity IMO, because once its solved, it doesn't break for a fair period, you can get at least 10 mins usually. Its almost as though the actinic server says 'enough!', no more from you, you might be spam and flooding the server.
If you select to repair my network, then access a website, then another, then try the forum, works everytime without fail.
