WOW - brilliant - one of my clients with LOVE this and I mean LOVE they are pushing Multiuser to it's limits and hate the fact that only one user can be an administrator.

The Web's just settling in. We got the tech, now let's put up something that matters.
One question, if you can do it, how come Actinic's Hungarians can't, or won't?? or just don't bloody care?
they probably can. but to be honest, a web interface is a little too out of the box for a focused mindset to deal with.
i dont think those people crying out for Google Checkout and other fixes would be all too pleased if something like this took up actinic's development time
to give the desktop metaphor life in the browser is no easy task. trust me, lol, its taken a loooong time to develop. I did speak before about a mobile phone compatible interface, and i'm not ruling that out as some sort of cheap addin plugin, but i realised that for rich desktop functionality, in a web interface, i needed a lot of ajax and script. If anyone has debugged a ground up ajax app, then you'll know how úber complex it is.
though i would like a nice plugin api from Actinic Towers!

As a plugin developer (and an Actinic developer) I can tell you that it is a lot easier to write a plugin for Actinic with limited functionality (I haven't looked at Gabe's plugin yet so that comment isn't aimed at it) than it is to maintain and develop Actinic. The development team work very hard and do care very much about this product and I'm quite sure that seeing ridiculous comments like yours can be very disheartening.
I think that's right - we will probably rely more on third party plugins to provide useful interesting stuff which reacts quickly to market conditions. The Actinic mega oil tanker clearly can't change direction very quickly and has a number of leaks which are taking time to patch.
the core is very extensible, and i have no doubt that Actinet will be able to do that very shortly. Just at this early stage, its limited to editing items only. No items can be added.
this sounds like a brilliant add-on, are you still taking beta testers for this? I emailed you via your support email address.
