As you'd know yourself somefolks don't like the newest FM and CM games as they've gone too far. Read a thread elsewhere last week and the majority seemed to prefer 00/01 to the newest ones. Maybe thats just a pleasant retro blast though.

the problem with CoD 2 is that it only supports 8 players online, and CoD supports up to 24, as i recall.

I'v created levels for all the games i mentioned at some point. I wrote a rtype lookalike once. it was pants.

FM is a totally new conversation (possibly over a few drinks).

if you want unreal, wait for the New one, Unreal tournament 3 (or 2007).

half life and quake i would recommend to anyone (especially half life)

Halo supposed to be good (never played) but the second is only vista (god i hate mic*****t)

I recommend playing something older that you missed the first time.

Try FarCry, Ghost Recon, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

it does, that's true
H prefers a smaller group...which is why he didn't like CoD3.

4 was better though.

it would also depend on your PC G (forgot to mention that)

newest games will require top of the pops PC to work and run without problems.

if you have PC like mine (which is still fast but not the best anymore) then you would have to start with a new Graphics card and go down a slippery slope

I rate the multiplayer high on gears of war.

But the problem is, the people that play it online are very good, and its difficult for a noob to get interested.

The single player tries its best with a plot, but its not easily accessible. It was like playing a lot of mini 'quests' that arent joined up at all.

Overall, i'd say 9/10 online
5/10 offline.
