I deliberately removed the "Trust Logo" stuff on my main website this christmas to see if there was any effect and as I expected there was no reduction in sales - in fact they were up 40%. So you could say that removing it resulted in an increase in sales

We have the Safebuy logo and also a checkrate logo, out of the 2 I would opt to keep the checkrate logo, however the downside is that it works with javascript code on your site, if there server is down or slow it has a neg effect on the site diplaying the logo.

I think to many companies were set up making it very difficult to decide what to go for, just not sure that having no assurance logo at all would be the best thing.
      Many Thanks

I suspect creating your own little icon and putting 'Secured and Verified by John Wayne' across the front would give the same effect as all these gimmick security/verification schemes. We all know your site doesn't need them but it's the gimmick factor that apparently works. I personally very rarely look for any of these security features, instead, I look for a trusted PSP, which often tends to be Paypal or Google Checkout which make the deciding factor.

That's the sort of responce I would expect from a used car salesman or some telesales plonker. My responce to them would be yes and I hope you go bust.

They said after spitting their dummy out. I guess they are seeing a lot of suddenly wise customers ditching their 'services'.

If they were shaking your hand, nodding and slightly smiling when they said that, you'd see it very differently. It is a bit stroppy though I agree.

The response that Darren got was identically worded to mine so it's obviously a standard email they send out following cancellations.

I used to think that Safebuy were good mainly because of their interesting regular newsletter and proactive involvement in the industry but over time that seems to have dwindled.

There site seems to have alot more information on it than when i signed up, but listening to other peoples comments it helped me make my decision.

I have cancelled so lets see what difference it makes, very little i recon but lets see.

I think it would add more authenticity with an additional padlock Gabe, sorry to be picky

Now that is far more reassuring, thank you.
