I deliberately removed the "Trust Logo" stuff on my main website this christmas to see if there was any effect and as I expected there was no reduction in sales - in fact they were up 40%. So you could say that removing it resulted in an increase in sales

We have the Safebuy logo and also a checkrate logo, out of the 2 I would opt to keep the checkrate logo, however the downside is that it works with javascript code on your site, if there server is down or slow it has a neg effect on the site diplaying the logo.
I think to many companies were set up making it very difficult to decide what to go for, just not sure that having no assurance logo at all would be the best thing.

I suspect creating your own little icon and putting 'Secured and Verified by John Wayne' across the front would give the same effect as all these gimmick security/verification schemes. We all know your site doesn't need them but it's the gimmick factor that apparently works. I personally very rarely look for any of these security features, instead, I look for a trusted PSP, which often tends to be Paypal or Google Checkout which make the deciding factor.

Cancellation processed and your data removed from our systems.

The response that Darren got was identically worded to mine so it's obviously a standard email they send out following cancellations.
I used to think that Safebuy were good mainly because of their interesting regular newsletter and proactive involvement in the industry but over time that seems to have dwindled.

A quick Photoshop moment
Proof of how 'effective' these logos really are from a site that is gave Safebuy a glowing testimonial.
