Any one seen a ChilkatLog pop up towards the end of upload?

Newly upgraded v16 to v18 site.
Uploaded to test server and this popped up towards the end of upload before preloading of filtered pages (there are 165 on this site).
I have no idea what it means, please can anyone help?

Chilkat ( https://www.chilkatsoft.com/ ) is a library that you can install to help with many Internet based functions. SellerDeck loads it via PHP.INI to add capability to the built-in PHP language that the Desktop product uses when building the site.

The error message above has an URL of a help article: http://www.cknotes.com/?p=91

What actually happened to cause that error? I've no idea. Try again and hope it goes away.

I've no idea either! It is a site I have uploaded many times before in various versions, in fact this is the first time in fourteen years of uploading Sellerdeck sites I have seen it.

Also the v16 version of the identical site uploads without any issue so something has changed to cause this with the upgrade.

In the event the site seems to display OK but I obviously cannot pass it to the customer if it is doing this.

      Thank you Norman.

I have seen that a couple of times Jonathan or at least something very similar - I remember it was to do with SSL/TLS/port 443. It was also on SD2016 upgraded sites (two of them). It only happened once on each of those sites.

I investigated for several hours and couldn't come to any conclusion so I think it is transient and doesn't appear to do any harm. I think I ended up thinking that it was YASB and that it was something to do with SellerDeck having created SMTPLibrary.pm

        I could be wrong though!

          Thanks Andy
This seems clearly a Sellerdeck v18 issue. Do you think anyone from Sellerdeck reads this forum any more?

Bruce is usually pretty active on the forum so I like to think Sellerdeck are aware of any issues we discuss.

I've found a couple of support tickets referencing the same or similar messages. From the technical analysis, the message indicates that the server closed the connection prematurely.

One of the two errors relates to the pre-generation of filter pages on the server. In Help > Troubleshooting, try reducing the 'Filter Page Creation Rate' to 1. Uploading will take a bit longer, but it will reduce the load on the server and the risk of a timeout.

Another possible cause can be a bottleneck in the network. In that case, the only current solution is to find and fix the bottleneck. It may be possible for the software to increase the server timeout at the start of the upload. We will investigate that option for a maintenance release.

Support are blaming the size of the filtered pages and say a fix will be implemented in 18.0.3. However, all the filter pages of the site in question are filtered on only three variables and another site not using filtering is now having the same problem.
Further the variable which Support blamed for having "a huge number of colours" is never used in page creation although it is used to filter results.

Both sites were perfect in v16 so this is clearly a v18 issue. It is disappointing that once again Sellerdeck is blaming the developer/customer for asking it to do too much. I am afraid I feel rather fobbed off.

For interest, Heart servers were happy with a filter page creation rate of three whilst Smart Hosting (Best Web Hosting) needed it to be one.

Neither of my 2 affected sites run any filtering.
