Hi,
I have not made any changes to my website for at least a month, and I've been processing orders as normal.
But today, I tried to set up a new account and send the Password e-mail, but I got an error saying there was a problem with my SMTP.
Nothing has changed from my side, and I've spoken to 1&1 who also confirm that nothing has changed at their end either.
Any ideas why I might be getting an error?
When I run the network test, the error is reported thus:
The 'SMTP server' address entered in the 'Web | Network Setup' is incorrect, or not a valid SMTP server.
Possible Solutions:
1) Try "localhost" as the "SMTP Server"
2) Check the "SMTP Server" host name, user name and password with your server host, then correct the details in 'Web | Network Setup'
3) Check your firewall settings
followed by:
Actinic Mail Test completed successfully
server: passed
connection: failed
sockets: passed
communications: failed
authorisation: failed
message: Connection refused
