    Hi Paul

We have never had an issue so I shall try and see where you are with some Q&A's then hopefully pull out a rabbit

    1 Have you installed DWCS3 or AWPCS3?
2 Did you have any trial version on your machine prior to purchase and if so have you gone from trial to full using the CORRECT SERIAL AND OPTIONS?*
3 Did you uninstall any previous version of DW?
4 Have you enabled the extensions in DW (you need to do this via the CS3 Ext Manager.)

(* to explain, if you tried the DWCS3 and not the whole pack this will determine how you authorise your purchase. It has to be like for like. So if you bought web premium and install it in this instance it will be FUBARed.)
    Over to you....

    Regards
    Daren

      Hi Daren

      1) I have installed ADPCS3 (Design Premium)
      2) I am still using the trial version at the moment. Have installed it on a different PC now as the last PC ran out. I want to see if i can get it to work and see what it is like before i purchase the full version.
      3) No, did have any DW installed before
      4) Yes, the tick box is ticked

When you open up DWCS3 can you tell me what you see using the DWCS
upper menu in between SITE and HELP

        Also, => DWCS3 | COMMANDS | MANAGE EXTENSION

and in the Drop down menu, what programmes are listed?

Remember to use this in CS3 you need to have Actinic installed, then Dreamweaver and you install the extensions last

        Regards

            Very Odd

So this now presents an issue with Actinic not DW as that has done its bit?

When you go into the design tab of actinic and CODE VIEW do you have the 'Edit in Dreamweaver' Option available at the bottom of the screen?

                      Options?

Do you mean the upper menu? That changes everything...

If so, then your DW install is the issue not Actinic.

Where did you get your trial from?

Yea the options inbetween 'Site' and 'Help'

The issue is i cant see the option in actinic. But also i have noticed the options in Adobe are grey'ed out apart from 'Help'

                        I got it from Adobe

I will try and download the trail of DW only from adobe and see if it is a corrupt disc.

Thanks for your help tho Daren, its much appreciated

I also have the same problem with the free 30 day trial. Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

No worries Paul, I cannot replicate so I am assuming it could well be a corrupt install/disc.

When you pay £7 + vat for a trial you would hope it will work

                            Regards

Apart from what has been posted we cannot go any further as all our avenues have been exhausted.

As we have not experienced any issues we cannot replicate this for you.

Thanks for all your help Daren,
I have downloaded just Dreamweaver CS3 from Adobe and still no joy.

But i have managed to get hold of a copy of Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 and that works a treat. It seems to me that it might be the exstention manager but i dont know for sure. Like someone said earlier in the thread you can edit layouts in CS3 as long as CS3 is open at the time. So i will have to do that for the time being.

Once again, thats for the help
