    coding......

Thanks for that. I have one question. Actinic is touted as an easy to use on-line catalog site/tool. My colleague paid £300 to update from Client to Catalog 'full' so that we could edit the layout ourselves. I do not know how to 'code' or 'drill down' to find the relevant details to change and would not know how to change them even if I did find them. There must be some way for a 'non-coder' to change any layout files in Actinic. Could you please me how I can do this. There must be a way because I'm sure people who do not know how to code themselves buy actinic because of its 'user' interface.
Is there any tutorials or anyone you cold recommend that could help me with this?

any help would again be much appreciated

    Moeb

In site options you get drop down lists showing the various standard layouts made available for each of the areas, many of these are also available on the layout tab when you have a brochure page, section, fragment or product selected. If none of the many standard templates do what you want, then you are forced to create your own.

People who don't know what they are doing, use standard layouts, therefore not having to get involved with html. It sounds like you are trying to do advanced things with just a basic knowledge, just use the standard offerings instead until you get comfortable.

Read through the Getting Started Guide and the Advanced user Guide and experiment a little, it's not as difficult as it seems but there is a learning process to go through.
