Do you mean a central repository for designers to place their work, where site owners can go and buy a theme then? That would be OK i guess, however most designers do this on their site in some form or another already and would prefer the traffic on their own site.

I can see an ebay shop starting soon for v9 templates....

OR, you do decide to do a freeby for the community and create one for free. Are you going to support it when people start e-mailing you directly 50 times a day saying how do you do this, how have I screwed that? You're a better man than I if you would..

Many! But completely irrelevant and not what I was saying. People come to the community and contribute when and if they decide to make there time available to it. However, coming in on a morning to find 50 e-mails in your account all asking for free help on a free template you have provided is entirely different. If you are willing, and have the time to do that, by all means go for it.

If you do mean to some sort of chargeable system then that's different!
